Michael Falowski is a program manager for the Applied Sciences Wildland Fire program at NASA Headquarters in Washington DC. I’m also the lead for the FireSense Project and a program scientist in the Terrestrial Ecology Program.
Prior to this position he was an academic who specialized in the use of remotely sensed data to gain a better understanding of the Earth system and taught a variety of courses in remote sensing, GIS, and forestry. Over the last 20 years he has worked with a variety of universities, governmental agencies, and non-governmental organizations to solve applied problems in natural resource conservation and management, primarily through the analysis of remotely sensed and other geospatial data.
