Brice P. McCracken is the Special Agent in Charge of the National Center for Explosives Training and Research (NCETR) at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. He was appointed to this position in June 2024 and oversees ATF’s arson and explosives enforcement portfolio including the Certified Explosives Special Bomb Technician Program, Certified Explosives Specialist Program, Explosives/Accelerant Detection Canine Programs, Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) Program, National Response Team (NRT) and all associated training programs.

Prior to this, Mr. McCracken was the Division Chief of the Explosives Research and Development Division at NCETR from December 2023 until June 2024. He was an Assistant Special Agent in Charge in the Miami Field Division a position that he held from April 2022 until December 2023. Prior to this, Mr. McCracken served as the Chief of the Fire Investigation and Arson Enforcement Division at NCETR from April 2019 to April 2022. Before that, he was an Assistant Special Agent in Charge of ATF’s San Francisco Field Division. He began his supervisory career as the Resident Agent in Charge of the Fresno, California Field Office, a position he held from June 2013 until April 2017.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
