Doug Cupp has been the Fire Chief of the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District in Eagle, Colorado, for the past seven years and has 28 years of fire service experience. Most of his fire career was with Poudre Fire Authority before his position as Fire Chief in Eagle. He holds a Master’s Degree in Safety and Emergency Management, a National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer graduate, an additional Graduate Certificate in Fire and Emergency Services Management, a graduate of Harvard’s National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, and a Harvard Public Leadership Credential. Doug participates in Incident Management Teams to provide leadership during uncertainty and chaos. He has responded to the country’s largest and most destructive disasters. Doug is qualified as an Operations Section Chief and Safety Officer for Complex Incident Management. Doug’s passion is developing future leaders and decision-makers by instructing the National Fire Academy’s command and control curriculum and multiple NWCG Leadership and IMT courses.
