Michael West is a fourth-generation firefighter who has served since 1982. He is the second fire chief in Front Range Fire Rescue's history and came to the organization in 2019. Mike holds a master's degree from Seton Hall University in Strategic Communication and Leadership. He also holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado – Denver in Management with a specialization in Human Resource Management. Mike has an associate degree in Fire Science. For fun, Mike is an avid traveler, motorcycle enthusiast, and a bagpiper.
