J.T. McLeod is a 30-year Fire Service Veteran and has recently been selected to be the Fire Chief for Divide Fire Protection District, in Teller County. Prior to accepting the position with Divide, J.T. was the Division Chief of Fire and Life Safety for Cimarron Hills Fire District and also worked in DOD Fire and Emergency Services.
Chief McLeod is proud and humbled to be invited to speak at this year’s Leadership Conference and loves the collaboration of the planning team he serves on. Being a part of the Fire Chiefs’ Leadership Challenge planning and execution has been something he has wanted to do since going through the Company Officer track.
Chief McLeod completed the FMS track and looks forward to continuing on with being a student in both the Fire Marshal and Chief Series. J.T. currently holds certifications as a Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector III/Plans Examiner, and Fire and Life Safety Educator.
