Utilizing internally established metrics to establish inspection frequency based on risk per NFPA 1730. Utilizing Chapter 6, Annex B and C, the students will see the benefit of conducting a risk assessment of their building inventory to establish a compliant means for creating an inspection frequency that will be representative of the risks your department faces not only from the perspective of individual buildings but the inspection and response capabilities of your department. The students will also work through a staffing exercise to present at budget time in the hopes of expanding your division based on the documented staffing needs.
