Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What does LEAD stand for?

L – Leadership

E – Empowerment

A – Advocacy

D – Development

When the CSFC Executive Committee and Program Planning began developing this series, we wanted a strong acronym that embodied what this program will deliver and how it will be continue to develop our officers and achieve their professional development goals.

Why are we no longer offering the IAFC Officer Development Program?

With the IAFC changing the structure, delivery and requirements of their Officer Development Program, the leadership from CSFC, DFPC, CPFF and FMAC along with the FLC Program Planning Committee has decided to develop the LEAD Series and will no longer offer the IAFC ODP in Keystone.

What if I only have one year left to complete an IAFC ODP Program can I still get credit at Fire Leadership Challenge by participating in the LEAD Series?

We understand many attendees have this program as a part of your professional development goals.  With that, the LEAD Series will continue to offer the exceptional education you require to meet your goals. If you are finishing an ODP program and attending FLC, we will provide credit for your years of participation in the IAFC ODP program at Fire Leadership Challenge and provide a LEAD Series Certificate of Participation and Completion in the Company Officer or Chief Series. Similarly, you will receive a coin and pin upon completion to reflect your years of professional development excellence.
